Great website, you
nailed those stereo types perfectly. You
have a keen knack of "calling a spade a
spade" without sounding offensive. I
found your website just today, it was
definitely enjoyable. The hospitality
business is also my career and 2 ½ years
ago, after 15 long mindless years-
working for corporations I retired my
ties and started my own consulting
business. My most recent project is
bring a very high profile Miami Beach
hotel to Las Vegas. It has been
challenging, however we are very close.
This projects demanded a ton research
and kept me busy, jumping from website
to website. Nothing compares to yours.
Keep up the good work and maybe think
about doing other reality websites.
Everybody in the world seems to be
hooked on reality TV, I personally can
not stand the stuff – but it does sell.
In a days shift, you probably here more
bull----, that most people will in a
lifetime, give it back to them, using a
neo cocktailese-sorta politically
correct manner. When contracts are done,
I will give you the businesses name.

OK how many times have you heard
that one? I surfed onto your
website after a long drive home
and wasted about an enjoyable
hour reading all your stuff.
Seriously I think you could
write a guidebook or something
you have a very entertaining
style. I've been to Vegas a
couple of times recently and
fell in love with the place and
I recognised a lot of the things
you were saying and it gave me a
good laugh. The tipping section
would be useful especially for
us Brits who arent used to it -
I thought the drinks _were_ free
when you are playing cards lol.
Not that I'd want to live there
though I think all the glitz
would wear off really quickly.
And its so hot.

I very much liked your website, for it
communicates your mind and self image! As
well as the wise wit gleaned from all your
experiences. I read every word on your site,
it was quite compelling. I can almost hear
the rushing of wind past your ears as you
get your thing done. If you were to write a
book about your unique angle of your
experiences, it would do more justice to
your sharp and detailed perception, and,
more importantly, provide your unique
insight and perspective with wings, so that
they be shared by a broader (and better
paying) public.
I am thoroughly inspired!

hi my name is
chrissy and i LOVE reading your daily rounds! i live in Ohio
and have been to vegas, once and a return trip
scheduled this year.
i read about your
son calling 911 and it has happened to me! my nephew did at
my house,we were having an informal family picnic, he was 2
1/2 playing with the phone, and when the cops tried calling
back, we didnt recognize the number...so they showed up. my
dog was barking like mad and the cop was going to mace my
dog!!! when everything did finally get straightened out...we
got a warning ticket for inducing a panic, but it could have
held a fine with it. needless to say we apologized, but he
wasnt in the mood for that!
keep up the great
daily rounds! my husband and i love reading them!
I went to Vegas
this past weekend for the first time and so I wish I'd read
your site before I left, although I am happy to tell you
that I did tip for each drink, had my money ready to go each
time she came back around, and didn't make her wait! We
were at the Texas Hold 'Em bonus table at the Paris. Of
course now I'm reading all these sites after the fact
I just wanted to
tell you that your Joshua is just beautiful (we had our baby
in December 2004 and she is the light of our lives as Joshua
seems to be for you!) and that you should be a comedienne.
Your site is so funny, I laughed out loud while reading it.

in May. I wish I knew where and when you worked so I could
pull ALL of the stupid things people do on you.
Don't get me wrong
after I messed with you for about three rounds....STIFFING
you each time....I would tell you I am a big fan and tip you
big.
I DO NOT blame you
for not advertising where you work and I hope to run across
you accidentally.
You're sight is
VERY well done. It is both humorous and informative....the
later being why I checked it out in the first place. I was
at Las Vegas Advisor and there was a link in an article
about tipping. GREAT page there, but the how to order and
daily rounds are my favorite....Hope you update soon.
I have tried to get
my wife to read these stories, but she is not interested, so
I "force" some of the better ones on her. It is amazing
how people Keep gambling when DEATH an VOMITING are going on
around them.
Any way keep the
funny stories coming and I'll keep reading.....I have not

My firned and i are planning a trip to vegas soon, and i feel
confident i won't make an ass of myself when i go thanks to your
site. I can tell you something about getting stiffed, i used to
work at a greehouse, where my job was to shovel horse manure
into a bag, tie it up and load it into peoples car while they
watched, citing reasons they can't help or just saying nothing.
working for a year, i recieved maybe 4 tips, and believe me my
pay didn't compensate me for it. i know it doesn't sound like a
usual place to tip someone, but the fact is i provide an added
service in loading bags, one which isn't part of my job.
anyways, back to the point i can't wait to see vegas, and any
tips on tipping will surely only ensure a pleasurable experience
for both me, and the casino staff i interact with, so thanks
again.

I heard
your interview on Kimo’s show a couple of months ago and
loved your energy and honesty. I must admit, for some reason
I expected a typical blond (no offense to blonds) looking
young cocktail waitress type. I really like the website and
Wow what a shock when I saw your picture, you look like your
ready to be on stage in a headliner type show (tasteful
show)!
Anyway,
we visit vegas 2-3 times a year and the advice you gave on
the show and web site is right on. We’re not highrollers but
we tip well and always make friends with the cocktail
ladies. Its so true that if you take care of them they take
care of you! We always tip $5-10 dollars at the start of a
session and as you know we never get served the cheap stuff
after that!
Keep up

Thank you for validating my personal guess of
$1.00/drink as a proper tip! I never knew if it was
enough, and I do always try to be nice. As a female,
I can only assume how vulgar some of the men,
especially drunk men, can be. I figure as a female,
I really ought to try to make up for how you gals
are ?probably? mistreated by the men.
Lastly, I wanted to tell you how
ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL your English is-not
because you don't look 'like an American,' because
anyone who looks anyway looks like an American, but
because I
have read hundreds of English essays from (my)
college students, decades of books, magazines etc.,
and not a lot of them were as well written as your
pages. thanks for your site and thanks for the

Just wanted to drop a line saying that I
greatly appreciate your site. My
husband and I are planning a trip to
Vegas in the future.....and frankly, I
am such a casino novice it is scary. I
very much did NOT want to be that woman
who looks at her husband for advice
before she says anything...and was a
little afraid I might be. But now I
have a good basic idea of the "proper"
behavior and while I will still watch
other people a lot...I can now relax and
have fun....and isn't that the idea of a
vacation after all?

was a frequent visitor to Las Vegas until I retired
and often wondered what cocktail waitresses said and
thought about the number of crazy people they had to
deal with. Your report is an answer to my question.
At the ripe old age of 67, I have no ulterior

Hi Dollie,
Thank you for the site updates! You really cheered me up
tonight. I was cracking up at all your April rounds and
wanted more, so I went back and re-read February: "It July
in Japan!"
Then I looked at your pics and saw the updates of Joshua.
What a cutie! I like his new look with the glasses and
haircut. Is it strange that a single guy appreciates the
baby pictures? Just because I'm 40ish, bald, handle-bar
mustache, and tend to say "hehe" proves nothing! OK, I hope
that was funnier than it was creepy. But Joshua looks like
such a happy, great little guy, you must feel blessed every
day.
I'm gradually getting clues to where you work (no pictures
allowed [OK, that's almost all casinos], posh enough for
"whales", etc.), so I can find you one day and goof on you
until you realize I'm one of your fans, and bonk me with
your tray. Other people have their dreams; this is mine.

I and my wife come to
vegas every year and everything you said is true
about tipping . We know that your there to make
money and so we tip very well. One because we get
better service and two because some times you smile.
Even though you ladies are very pretty you just cant
bet a pretty smile. Thanks for your hard work. PS
