This guy, Shane Hmiel, came out of nowhere to win
the race in the final few laps - that was exciting!

Shane Hmiel was so happy to win, I don't know if he
was doing donuts or what! Take a look at the crowd...that was only like
half the people, there was a whole other bleacher section full, and even more
people walking around, eating or whatever. It took us almost two hours on
the freeway to get here, then we had to park so far I swear it took us a half
hour just to walk to the gate.

If you look really close at the middle of the
picture, there is a blue parachute...that was one of eight Flying Elvi.
I've never seen these guys before, and even though the whole Elvis thing is kind
of cheesy, I loved it!

These cars were going really, really fast. I
mean, like 206 mph. I've never been to a race before, and I wasn't
prepared for how loud the cars were. We left in the middle of this race to
avoid the crowd - yeah, right! It took us two hours to get out of just the
parking lot!
